Reporting to the Hell's Kitchen General Manager, the Bartender, you are a key ambassador of the Hell’s Kitchen brand—preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional hospitality. You create memorable experiences by delivering expertly crafted drinks and upholding the highest standards of service, safety, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in a bar or dining establishment.
  • AGLC ProServe/Protect certification required.
  • Basic math skills for verifying cash receipts and handling transactions.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle special requests and challenging situations.
  • Physical coordination to handle bar equipment and supplies.
  • Excellent communication skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and positive attitude.
  • Well-organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and knowledgeable about cocktails, wine, and spirits
  • Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn new recipes or techniques
  • Pleasant, accommodating, and willing to go the extra mile for guests.
  • Sincere desire to please guests and create memorable experiences.
  • Sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
  • Calm, organized, and confident under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the bar area for service, ensuring all supplies (e.g., glassware, garnishes, mixers) are stocked.
  • Greet guests, present beverage menus, and assist with drink selections.
  • Take and prepare drink orders, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol, checking identification as required by AGLC and River Cree policies.
  • Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and address special requests or concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Tabulate and present bills for payment; handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Assist in other food and beverage departments as needed.
  • To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
