About The Position

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Rickenbacker's at Tyndall AFB, FL. The Bartender operates a full service bar, mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to established recipes. The role includes direct service to patrons, processing payments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring proper bar operation. It is a position responsible for maintaining a safe and clean bar environment, including equipment maintenance and preparation of garnishes.

Requirements

Must be 21 years or older
Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
Knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients
Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve problems
Ability to follow cash handling procedures
Physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds
Ability to communicate clearly and skill in dealing with the public
Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
Must complete a pre-employment physical examination
Must complete a background investigation with favorable results

Responsibilities

Operates a full service bar
Mixes and serves alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order following established recipes
Delivers drinks to bar waiters or serves directly to patrons
Receives payments or charges to member's account
Washes glasses and other bar equipment
Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks
Helps stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions
Maintains responsibility for proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability
Operates a cash register and makes change
Prepares documentation for cash funds accountability
