About The Position

Lafayette Club is seeking a polished, personable, and dependable Bartender for its Food & Beverage team. The Bartender crafts and serves beverages to members and guests while maintaining high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and cleanliness. The position includes service at member bars and suits someone who is guest-focused, knowledgeable about classic and contemporary cocktails, and effective in a collaborative, high-end, fast-paced service environment. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus gratuities.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and mixology techniques.
Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
Be available to work weekends and holidays.
Meet the physical requirements of the role, including extended standing and walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and frequent reaching, stooping, bending, and repetitive motions.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of bartending experience in a private club, restaurant, or upscale hospitality setting.
TIPS certification.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, attentive, and timely beverage service at club bars.
Prepare classic and specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Engage members and guests professionally and warmly, remembering preferences and building rapport.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area and follow safe alcohol service practices.
Follow opening and closing procedures, including inventory and restocking.
Uphold and model club appearance standards and service expectations.
Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure seamless service.
