The Hampton Lakes Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and/or food to members and their guests. This position reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage. The role involves maintaining proper and adequate daily setup of the bar, including requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on business volume. The Bartender also maintains stock, cuts, and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality. Key duties include greeting customers courteously, promoting and documenting drink orders, mixing, garnishing, and presenting drinks using standard ingredient recipes and consistent portion control. The position requires accurately inputting orders into the Point of Sales system, presenting checks in a timely fashion, and obtaining appropriate payment or signatures. General cleaning tasks are performed using standard cleaning products to adhere to sanitation standards. Adherence to all state and federal liquor regulations, particularly South Carolina ALE laws pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated customers, is essential. The Bartender must also have knowledge and understanding of Hampton Hall’s company policies.
