Bartender-Barista | Simona's Coffee + Cocktails at Colton House Hotel
About The Position
This role is responsible for preparing and serving inspired drinks while delivering distinctive experiences for guests. The Bartender-Barista will impress guests with their beverage expertise and techniques in an expertly maintained atmosphere. Responsibilities include providing guests exceptional service from start to finish during their stay and while visiting Simona's, the Parlor, Patio & Lawn, and the Pool Area, or during any on-site event; educating guests on our selections and the drink menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, and upselling special items. F&B positions vary and include mornings, evenings, and weekend availability. Cocktail & floor serving, bartending and event execution is expected. Full-time status requires open availability, 7 days per week.
Requirements
- At least one year of related education, training and/or experience
- Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
- Working knowledge and ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks
- Working knowledge of the proper operation of all bar equipment
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
- Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
- Current State Food Handler’s License and State Mixologist Permit required
- Hospitality experience
- Guest service awareness
- Responsible alcohol training
- Experience on mixed beverages
- Knowledge of brewing and other beverage equipment operations
- TABC & Food Handler training & certifications are a must prior to hiring
