The Group Fitness Instructor provides engaging, educational group fitness instruction in a safe environment and serves as a fitness resource for class participants. The instructor builds positive relationships with members to encourage continued attendance, meets daily class attendance goals, and promotes Life Time programs, products, and services. Instructors may teach a variety of group fitness formats, including strength, cardio, boxing/kickboxing, barre, cycle, dance, yoga, ARORA, and small-group training. The LIFE BARRE format is rooted in traditional ballet and uses high-repetition, precise isometric movements at and away from the barre to engage muscles and support posture and range of motion. The role includes educating participants on proper form and alternative movements, answering questions, engaging with members before and after classes, and cleaning and organizing the studio after each class. Instructors provide current, motivating music appropriate for the class. The position pays a class rate of $50.00 to $85.00, based on experience, qualifications, and class duration; the rate covers all working time associated with teaching, including pre- and post-class work. Life Time team members receive a subsidized membership, discounts on Life Time products and services, a 401(k) plan with a company discretionary match for team members age 21 and older, training and professional development, and paid sick leave where required by law. Full-time team members are eligible for additional benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage; short- and long-term disability insurance; life insurance; pre-tax flexible spending and dependent care plans; parental leave and adoption assistance; paid time off; and a deferred compensation plan if income requirements are met.
