About The Position

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other menu items while delivering exceptional guest service. This role maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment and ensures all food safety and operational standards are met.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso equipment is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Basic math and cash-handling skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 25–30 pounds
Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive hand movements
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to hot equipment and beverages

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and standards
Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system
Recommend menu items and upsell products when appropriate
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and equipment
Restock supplies, ingredients, and merchandise as needed
Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Monitor product quality and presentation standards
Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and inventory counts
Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
