About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is a leading hospitality management company. The Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, managed by Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a Barista to join their team. This role involves preparing quality coffee and beverages, handling cash, stocking items, interacting with guests, and understanding beverage standards to upsell to guests. The position emphasizes providing 'Howdy Hospitality' and embodying the Aggie Path of P.R.I.D.E. (Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, Excellence).

Requirements

• Must be TABC and Texas Food Handlers Certified or able to be Certified by the start date.
• Must have a love and passion for the coffee environment.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a highly active service setting.
• Pleasant and outgoing personality necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Barista service experience preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Makes quality coffee and beverages.
• Handles cash handling and bank drawer procedures.
• Stocks items.
• Converses with guests.
• Communicates low items to manager.
• Understands the standards of our total beverages and upselling beverages to guests in the lobby.
• Prepares daily orders for items to maintain parts.
• Learns suggestive selling techniques and uses them during services.
• Maintains cleanliness of all workplace areas and a professional image and uniform.
• Creates a warm and friendly Howdy Hospitality environment that is inviting and service oriented.
