About The Position

This position is 20 hrs/wk 6am-3pm with a rotating Saturdays. Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for a diverse customer base. The customer base includes patients, family members, physicians, other employees and the public. The incumbent is responsible for quick, accurate, and courteous service, and resolution of customer concerns. Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 with Food Service experience.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
• No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
• Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
• Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Preparing handcrafted coffee, espresso drinks, and other menu items.
• Operating coffee equipment, including espresso machines and cash registers.
• Preparing and serving sandwiches, pastries, snacks, and other food items.
• Providing quick, accurate, and courteous customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, and equipment to meet food safety and infection control standards.
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining quality service.
