About The Position
Starbucks baristas create a warm, welcoming space where coffee sparks connection and each shift offers opportunities to brighten customers’ days. Baristas prepare beverages and food to standard recipes or customize orders, provide quality customer service, handle cash, and help maintain store safety and security. They may perform a variety of tasks during each shift and must follow store operating policies and standards.
Requirements
- No previous experience required.
- Available to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, and request clarification when needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to build relationships.
- Meet store operating policies and standards, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, understand their needs, and respond through clear and pleasant communication.
- Prepare food and beverages according to standard recipes or customize them to customer requests, including changes to temperature, ingredient quantities, or substitutions.
- Provide quality food and beverage products while following store operating policies and standards.
- Handle cash and follow store safety and security standards.
- Perform a variety of tasks within the store during each shift.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
