About The Position
Daily Provisions, born in 2017 from the kitchen of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Cafe, is a growing collection of all-day neighborhood cafes with restaurant roots. Daily Provisions offers a familiar, yet elevated, menu of classic dishes, including its signature crullers, all-day breakfast sandwiches with a runny yolk, and freshly brewed coffee and teas. Throughout the afternoon and evening, the restaurant serves chef-driven salads, made-to-order sandwiches, seasonal sides, and comforting dinner dishes like its famous Roast Chicken. As a Barista, you will be responsible for the preparation of coffee beverages for the entire restaurant. The ideal candidate must thrive in a high volume environment, while working closely with their co-workers in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Requirements
- Experience working as a barista in a similar environment
- Curious Intelligence to continue learning in the position
- Ability to prepare classic espresso beverages
- Familiarity with current trends in the specialty coffee and tea industry
Responsibilities
- Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
- Prepare coffee beverages for the entire restaurant
- Prepare classic espresso beverages (cappuccinos, macchiatos, cortados etc.)
- Dial in espresso and pull great shots consistently
- Create latte art
- Work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Interact and communicate with all colleagues and guests to consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success
