About The Position
This role is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items to customers. It also involves food preparation, cleaning, catering, and retail cashier duties. The Barista will provide excellent service quality, educate customers on the menu, prepare various coffee drinks, and sell coffee-related equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, replenishing supplies, performing general food service work, ensuring equipment operates correctly, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and improving store appearance and quality results.

Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent service quality experience in the cafe
- Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions
- Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino
- Sell coffee and coffee grinding/brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates
- Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar
- Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
- Perform general food service work involving the preparation, proper holding, service of food, and clean up activities
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- Improve quality results, implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar
