Barista - Snow Valley
About The Position
We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve ice cream, hot and cold beverages, including various types of Starbucks coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include educating the resorts guests on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates and troubleshoot equipment when necessary. You should also be able to work various shifts and be able to work during All Major Holidays and weekends. Note: this position’s compensation includes hourly wages and tips.
Requirements
- Must be 21 Years or Older
- One Year experience as a barista or waiter/waitress
- Hands on experience with brewing equipment
- Experience working in a fast- paced environment

- Ability to keep the venue organize, stocked and clean

Responsibilities
- Check guests Identification and ensure it age meets the legal drinking age.
- Greets, directs and responds to guest questions and needs in a timely manner
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
- Assess customer’ needs and preferences and make recommendations with your knowledge of the venue’s menu.
- Pay close attention to details of recipes (e.g. guest preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Responsible for keeping venue clean and organized per company standards
- Understanding pricing at your venue
- Assist in regular inventory counts at your venue
- Restock and replenish venue inventory and supplies as needed
- Cash balancing/handling Required
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs asap.
- Ensure the venue is always Show Ready
- Comply with all County and Company food and beverage regulations
