Full-Time Barista - Santa Monica Coffeebar
About The Position
We are seeking an "Intelli" for our brand new Santa Monica coffeebar. We are pioneers in the direct trade model for buying coffee and creating coffee partnerships globally. We are passionate about coffee and pay a premium for direct-sourced beans to foster long-term, collaborative relationships with producers who grow exceptional coffee. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, educating guests about coffee, and engaging with customers in a hospitable manner. The position offers comprehensive training, opportunities for growth, and a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Speak and read English proficiently
- Dependable with good attendance and punctuality
- Can effectively communicate with others
- Able to learn and master coffee tasting profiles and dial-ins
- Good teamwork skills
- Able to multi-task and work in a high-volume environment
- Must have weekend availability
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
Responsibilities
- Operationally, adhere to policies, safety standards and protocols, and make suggestions for improving operations
- Prepare and serve beverages that adhere to our freshness and quality standards
- Maintain your coffee knowledge to educate and communicate with guests
- Engage with all guests in a hospitable, sincere and friendly manner.
