About The Position
Paradies Lagardère is hiring a Barista for an airport retail and dining environment in Sarasota. The role involves welcoming guests, taking food and beverage orders, preparing and presenting drinks to established standards, operating and cleaning coffee equipment, and processing payments. Baristas are expected to provide knowledgeable, enthusiastic service and help create a comfortable, first-class experience for travelers while upholding health and safety standards. Compensation is $16 per hour plus cash and credit tips.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge guests and take drink and food orders within 30 seconds of their entering the concept.
- Operate coffee-making equipment and dismantle and clean machinery as needed.
- Prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Accurately total, process, and collect guest payments using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash, process credit and debit card payments, and make change in compliance with company cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and enthusiasm for the restaurant's menu and products.
- Help deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
- Uphold health and safety standards to maintain a comfortable environment for customers.
