About The Position

Candidates MUST be available between 5:30am to 6:30pm to be considered. This role is offering 20-25 hours per week. This is not an official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. You could expect the position of Barista Clerk working at Schnucks in the Starbucks department to include the following.

Requirements

18 yrs+ to apply
Must be available between 5:30am to 6:30pm
Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates)
Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (Internal Candidates: Store Support Center Teammates)
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline) (Internal Candidates)
If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance (Internal Candidates)

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
Greet customers prior to filling their order
Brew varieties of coffee and create specialty drinks according to Starbucks brand standards and recipes
Ensure proper handling and packaging for cafe items
Completion of Starbucks required training and familiarity with seasonal product offerings
Suggestive selling and product sampling
Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and cases, following Schnucks company safety and sanitation procedures as well as Starbucks standards
Read and understand shelf tags and signage
Operate a cash terminal
Follow all opening and closing procedures within the department
Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management including training as a checker and stock clerk.
