About The Position

At Truce, we’re redefining what food can be. With our tagline “fine food fast,” we serve up clean, sustainable ingredients - always free from artificial additives and seed oils - without sacrificing speed, flavor, or experience. Our front-of-house team delivers exceptional service that makes every guest feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Our baristas and beverage servers craft incredible drinks, from rich coffees and refreshing mocktails to energizing protein drinks and house-made sodas that guests can’t stop talking about. We also have a convenient drive-thru that keeps things moving for guests on the go, perfect for team members who thrive on energy and efficiency. This is our first location, with plans for more on the way, offering opportunities to grow with us. We work with real food, made fresh, every single day, and are a team that truly puts people first, both guests and employees. Hours of operation are 7:00 AM – 9:30 PM, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Above average math skills.
  • A positive attitude and good manners.
  • Neat personal appearance and proper personal hygiene.
  • Valid Server Permit (ABC Card).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location. Fluency in English may be essential for certain customer service stations within this position.
  • Basic knowledge of brewing techniques and equipment.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage a workstation and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Offer care, technique, and a bit of flair where warranted.
  • Verify age by checking ID, take drink orders, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
  • Knowledgeably answer customer questions about the food and beverage menu and organizational mission.
  • Adhere to recipes and preparation techniques to craft consistent, high-quality beverages.
  • Operate coffee equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders.
  • Process payments using credit, debit, or other methods, and provide receipts.
  • Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve any issues or complaints in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the counter, drink preparation area, and cash register station.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and adhere to regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Restock supplies, bag orders, and assist other staff members as needed.
