About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Bariatric Surgeons in Arlington, VA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role offers a high-impact surgical career without the corporate red tape, providing clinical autonomy and a sustainable surgical career. The position is a "No-Call" lifestyle, meaning no nights, no weekends, and no pagers, allowing for a better work-life balance. Surgical debridement and bedside procedures remain part of the daily practice, keeping procedural expertise in use. The role is less physically demanding than traditional laparoscopic cases, reducing strain and allowing for a longer career. Custom software is provided to minimize administrative time.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Bariatric Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
• No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
