Requirements

• RHIA, RHIT, LPN/LVN, RD or RN licensure required.
• Minimum one year experience in a hospital surgery department or surgery center or with clinical research or medical records.
• Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required.
• Demonstrated computer skills; proficiency in MS Office required.
• Critical thinking skills required.
• Must be autonomous and self-driven.
• Must be able to work well independently and with others.
• Successful completion of the MBSCR Training Program within (45) days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
• Basic or intermediate statistical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and submitting accurate, complete, and timely data to the MBSAQIP Registry.
• Compiling, documenting, and entering 100 percent of bariatric procedures performed at North Vista Hospital in the MBSAQIP Registry.
• Working closely with members of the bariatric surgery departments to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects.
