Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum of six months of previous experience in a bar, lounge, or full-service restaurant environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with company policies and departmental procedures
  • Basic math skills for routine calculations and inventory tracking
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members and other departments
  • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals in English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
  • Capable of conveying information clearly and professionally in high-pressure or fast-paced situations
  • Able to understand and respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with courtesy and accuracy
  • Must be able to document incidents, complete reports, and follow written instructions precisely
  • Proficiency in communicating policies, procedures, and expectations to team members
  • Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills in standardized situations involving multiple variables

  • Visual acuity required, including close vision, color differentiation, and peripheral awareness
  • Ability to lift and move: Up to 30 lbs regularly, Up to 100 lbs frequently, Up to 300 lbs occasionally (with assistance or equipment as needed)
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance in various work environments, including confined or crowded spaces
  • May be required to navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently in a dynamic and guest-facing setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous service to guests while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the bar
  • Support bartenders by ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages, in alignment with established quality standards
  • Follow company hospitality standards, including making eye contact, smiling, and greeting guests with appropriate and respectful language
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks such as clearing tables, transporting dishes to the kitchen, and restocking beer, wine, ice, and other supplies
  • Remove trash and maintain cleanliness in all bar service areas
  • Replace kegs, beer tanks, CO2 tanks, and soda systems as needed
  • Retrieve clean glassware from dishwashing areas and return empty kegs to designated storage or purchasing locations
  • Ensure all bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift
  • Make an effort to learn and use guest names to personalize service
  • Maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance and wear the authorized company-issued uniform in accordance with dress code standards
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members
