About The Position

The Barback supports the Beverage Department’s operations by helping maintain inventory, beverage quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Under the guidance of the Bartender, the Barback stocks, cleans, and prepares beverages and supplies, washes glasses and serving equipment, replenishes ice, and replaces beer kegs. The role also includes preparing food items for drink preparation, managing trash, maintaining personal health and sanitation standards, and reviewing procedures to improve service and safety.

The position is part-time and located at Newcastle Casino in Newcastle, Oklahoma. Work shifts may vary, and the employee must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The role requires standing and walking throughout the shift and performing physical tasks, including reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying supplies weighing up to 75 pounds. The work environment may involve moderate to high noise levels and cigarette smoke exposure, with limited exposure to physical risk and moderate to high physical effort.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain a Gaming license.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Oklahoma Liquor License (ABLE).
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of guest service principles and processes.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Mature judgment and professionalism.
• Ability to understand and follow orders.
• Ability to understand written information.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, lift, and carry supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Essential hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Stock, clean, and prepare beverages under the guidance of the Bartender.
• Maintain adequate supplies of bar items and replenish them as needed.
• Wash glasses and serving equipment promptly.
• Stock refrigerating units and replace beer kegs.
• Replenish ice at the bar.
• Clean and polish the bar, counters, shelves, and equipment.
• Prepare food items for drink preparation.
• Manage trash pickup and disposal.
• Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
• Review procedures to improve service and safety.
