Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a barback or similar role is beneficial but not always required.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, and other varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to work around fresh food products, cleaning agents, and moderate amounts of dust without adverse allergic reactions.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, and move throughout the work area.
• Ability to safely use a step stool or ladder when necessary.
• Maintain balance and stability while carrying beverages and performing daily tasks.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity for preparing beverages, garnishing drinks, operating bar equipment, and handling cash.
• Ability to reach overhead, at waist level, and below the waist.
• Effectively communicate with guests and team members in a loud, fast-paced environment.
• Possess adequate vision (near, far, and peripheral) and hearing necessary to safely perform job duties.
• Must wear employer-approved, slip-resistant footwear.

Responsibilities

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, and other beverages as needed to ensure a sufficient supply during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies such as napkins, straws, glassware, and ice, and replenish as necessary.
• Keep the bar area clean and tidy by wiping down counters, collecting empty glasses and bottles, and disposing of trash.
• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving beverages promptly and accurately.
• Ensure that bar equipment, such as blenders, taps, and refrigeration units, is clean and in working order.
• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies to maintain a safe and legal environment.
• Collaborate with bartenders, servers, and other staff members to provide excellent service and support overall operations.
• Assist with special events, promotions, and other duties as assigned by management.
