About The Position

Tender Mercy, an underground cocktail lounge and home to the elevated sushi restaurant Dozo, is one of several hospitality concepts owned and operated by The Idea Collective in Dayton, Ohio. Applicants may be considered by hiring managers at one or more locations if a position becomes available; this posting does not represent an immediate opening.

The Barback provides essential support to the bar team, anticipating needs, helping coworkers, and contributing to a quality guest experience. The role is physical and fast-paced. Duties include keeping ice wells full, stocking products, and polishing glassware. With experience, the Barback may also pour beer and wine. The employer expects a desire to develop basic knowledge of food and beverage menus and provides training and resources. Employees with the desire, skills, and follow-through may have opportunities to move into other front-of-house positions.
