About The Position

The Barback at AJI Bar and Lounge at Signia by Hilton San Jose prepares bar areas for service and supports bartenders in delivering memorable guest experiences. Duties include preparing garnishes and juices, stocking bar supplies, handling beer kegs and taps, assisting with inventory, and maintaining clean and compliant bar and storage areas. Availability from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sundays and Mondays is required; additional hours may be needed during busier hotel periods.

Requirements

• Availability from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sundays and Mondays.

Responsibilities

• Cut, slice, and peel garnishes and fruits; mix juices; and place prepared supplies in designated containers.
• Work with the bartender to stock glassware, ice, produce, condiments, paper products, and other essentials.
• Transport, replace, and maintain beer kegs and taps.
• Retrieve storeroom orders, visually check stock, reconcile stock with written requisitions, and re-check items upon delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
