About The Position
The Barback is responsible for receiving liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily and replenishing these items in the bar throughout the shift. This role also involves retrieving food items from the kitchen, setting up bar bottles, ensuring beer taps are functional, stocking bar snacks and napkins, assisting with opening and closing duties, bussing tables in the bar area, maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of bar areas, removing rubbish, and preparing and serving beverages as needed to assist the bartender. Requirements
- Must be able to retrieve all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area.
- Must be able to retrieve all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.
- Must be able to set up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.
- Must be able to ensure beer taps are working properly.
- Must be able to place appropriate bar snacks on counter; keeps supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift.
- Must be able to assist in opening and closing side work as assigned.
- Must be able to bus tables in bar area.
- Must be able to help ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas; washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment; sweeps and mops service areas, including floor mats.
- Must be able to ensure rubbish is removed from all receptacles.
- Must be able to prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist bartender.
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
