About The Position

Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar, opening at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on June 10, 2023, is a 8,445-square-foot destination offering a dynamic fan, dining, and drinking experience. The menu features American classics, scratch burgers, sliders, shareable tacos, salads, bowls, signature cocktails, and a wide selection of beers. The venue is suitable for group dining and events, with customizable environments including a main dining room, bar and lounge, three private dining suites, a private karaoke room, and a dining patio.

Requirements

Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Previous barback/hospitality experience.
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.

Responsibilities

Stocking/restocking all bar supplies while maintaining an organized bar area.
Assisting bartenders with other duties as needed to ensure exceptional guest service.
Interacting with guests, employees, and supervisors in a polite, respectful, and courteous manner.
Maintaining general cleanliness of the bar, bar area, and the entire venue.
Protecting the establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
Properly setting up bar stations, performing side-work, and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
Assisting bartenders to ensure a high level of quality and prompt guest service.
Assisting with bussing dishes from the bar top.
Emptying trash from behind the bar.
Keeping all back of house storage and refrigeration clean and organized to company standard.
Keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and maintaining par levels.
Reporting all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
Attending and participating in daily pre-service meetings.
Updating knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
Portraying a positive and professional attitude.
Working as part of a team and providing help and support to all employees.
