About The Position

The Bar Support role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the bar area within the accommodation and food services industry. This position focuses on assisting bartenders and bar managers by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction. The individual in this role will contribute to creating a welcoming and organized environment that supports timely drink preparation and service. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are critical, as the role involves managing inventory, handling customer requests, and supporting compliance with health and safety regulations. Ultimately, the Bar Support professional plays a key part in delivering a high-quality guest experience and supporting the overall success of the bar operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent).
• Familiarity with beverage preparation and bar equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Multilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, stocking bar supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the bar area.
• Restock beverages, glassware, and other bar essentials to ensure uninterrupted service during operating hours.
• Clear and clean tables, bar counters, and utensils promptly to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Support the bar team in managing inventory levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies to management.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by responding to guest inquiries and assisting with basic drink orders when appropriate.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service during peak hours.
