About The Position

Bar staff at Lake Hickory Country Club are responsible for inspecting the bar before opening, ensuring adequate supplies, and following set-up procedures. They greet guests, take beverage orders, prepare garnishes and drinks according to approved recipes, and serve them. Staff also check back with guests for satisfaction, assist food servers in the dining room, and adhere to sales income control procedures. Responsibilities include verifying bill accuracy, handling member charges, maintaining cleanliness of the bar area and equipment, and keeping bar stock adequate. They must also comply with all laws regarding alcohol service and follow club procedures for closing the bar.

Inspect bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are on hand
Request additional supplies as necessary
Follow set-up procedures
Attend pre-meal meetings as required
Greet guests
Take beverage orders
Prepare garnishes, mixed and pre-mixed drinks
Mix, prepare and serve drinks according to the recipes approved by the beverage manager
Check back with member/guest to ensure satisfaction
Help out food servers with service in dining room
Consistently follow all sales income control procedures
Verify accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, and other charges on all bills
Present bill to members/guests
Handle all member charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
Keep assigned tables, lounge and bus station and other areas tidy and clean
Advise supervisor of complaints as they occur
Consistently comply with all state, local and club laws/policies relating to the service of alcohol
Maintain and clean equipment
Maintain records of liquors, beers, wines, and sundries to ensure bar stock is adequate at all times
Clean and lock-up bar area according to Club procedures
At the end of the evening, run DSR to close all tickets
