About The Position

The Bar Porter is responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service while ensuring the assigned bar is stocked and clean. This role requires a minimum of one year of experience as a bar porter or bar back in a casino, high-volume nightclub, or high-volume restaurant. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes. This position involves working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and requires the ability to stand or walk for an eight-hour shift. The work environment is a hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy casino, with potential exposure to secondhand smoke and excessive noise. Effective communication in English is essential.

Requirements

A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a bar porter and/or bar back in a casino, high-volume nightclub or high-volume restaurant preferred.
Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required.
Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift & work inside assigned bar areas in the venue.
Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers, and other bar appliances in accordance with Hard Rock policies.
Ensures bar is set properly.
Ensures all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meets service standards.
Stocks assigned bar with product and supplies throughout the shift.
Prepares all mixes and garnishes.
Acknowledges, greets, and converses with customers who approach the bar.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
