Bar Manager - High Rollers
About The Position
We’re seeking a Bar Manager to join us at High Rollers! High Rollers offers happy hour half price bowling from 3 to 5pm on weekdays and all day Wednesday. Guests come for the bowling and stay for the food, featuring a value-priced menu served up in a big ol’ beer hall. With six ten-pin lanes, three pool tables, big-screen TVs, and 48+ craft beers on tap, there is always something happening. High Rollers is where guests bring the family or round up the crew. You’ll help us pull off incredible celebrations and party packages, perfect for large groups and events. And if you’re working late night, you’ll be at the heart of one of Banff’s best parties featuring live local DJs. Help us let the good times roll.
Requirements
- Passion and knowledge of mixology, and how to make traditional cocktails and create new ones
- Connecting with people and building trusting relationships
- Understanding of the importance of communication and workplace culture
- Collaborative working style and team focus
- Ability to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Excellent communications skills
- Flexible schedule required
- Strong work ethic and a positive team player
- Bartending experience required
- ProServe certification required
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Nice To Haves
- Supervisory or management experience is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all areas of the bar and use your discretion to create and uphold bar procedures and policies, ensuring alignment with company standards and legislation
- Training and coaching bartenders, and building server product knowledge
- Working alongside the bartenders, focusing on hospitality and positivity
- Manage inventory volumes to business levels, and ensure ordering, receiving, storing, and processing invoices are completed in a timely manner
- Create, train and maintain a drinks menu that is well-suited to the food menu, that evolves seasonally and with trends, ensures a good guest experience and maximizes sales
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the bar area
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial /local laws, and ordinances
- Maintain professional restaurant image, including bar cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
- Maintain a strong commitment to BHC brand and team culture
