About The Position
The Alida, a 173-room hotel on Savannah's riverfront, seeks a Bar Back to support the bar operations. This role is crucial for ensuring a memorable guest experience by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of the bar. The Bar Back will work closely with bartenders to anticipate needs and ensure all supplies, from ice to spirits, are readily available and the bar area is immaculate.
Requirements
- A proactive and detailed demeanor.
- Prior experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of critical items: ice, juice, syrups/mixers, spirits, and glassware.
- Ensure the bar top and bar back areas are clean and organized.
- Manage waste bins and keep floors clean.
- Anticipate and stock items before they run out.
- Understand and troubleshoot bar equipment issues, such as CO2 levels, dishwasher operation, and beer key changes.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings, aligning with brand vision and quality standards.
