About The Position

This role involves receiving and replenishing liquor, beer, and wine for the bar throughout the shift. The Bar Back will also retrieve food and beverage items, set up bottles, ensure beer taps are functioning, stock bar snacks and napkins, assist with opening and closing duties, bus tables, maintain cleanliness of the bar area, remove rubbish, and prepare/serve beverages as needed to assist the bartender. This position is with Levy, a member of Compass Group USA.

Requirements

• Must be able to receive all needed food items from kitchen and deliver to bar area.
• Must be able to retrieve all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver to bar area.
• Must be able to set up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.
• Must be able to ensure beer taps are working properly.
• Must be able to place appropriate bar snacks on counter; keep supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift.
• Must be able to assist in opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Must be able to bus tables in bar area.
• Must be able to help ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas; wash work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment; sweep and mop service areas, including floor mats.
• Must be able to ensure rubbish is removed from all receptacles.
• Must be able to prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist bartender.
• Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Receives all liquor, beer and wine from storeroom on a daily basis and as needed.
• Replenishes all liquor, beer and wine as needed in the bar throughout the shift.
• Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area.
• Retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.
• Sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.
• Ensures beer taps are working properly.

• Assists in opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Buses tables in bar area.
• Helps ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas; washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment; sweeps and mops service areas, including floor mats.
• Ensures rubbish is removed from all receptacles.
• Prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
