About The Position

Bar Apprentices are responsible for greeting guests, mixing and serving drinks, and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar. They assist with providing breaks to bartenders and producing drinks for cocktail servers. This role is with The LEV Restaurant Group, founded in 2002, which operates world-class food and beverage concepts and is excited to collaborate with entrepreneurial spirited professionals to create authentic, immersive drinking and dining experiences. LEV Restaurant Group provides support for brand development success and is based in Las Vegas, overseeing 800 employees and over 40 multi-state locations.

Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
In some instances, the entire shift
Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
Ability to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistance
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to left
Flexibility in the wrist to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, and bend
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience as a bar back or busser preferred
Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
Fine dining experience
Able to provide any work cards required for position

Responsibilities

Prepare batches, juices, garnishes, infusions and syrups
Restock the bar and maintain proper inventory levels
Refill liquor bottles, juices and ice bins during service
Keep bar and storage of the establishment neat, tidy and orderly
Assist Bartenders during rush hours
Perform bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash from bar top and high tops
Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of bar (i.e. wipe down surfaces, push chairs and stools in, arrange drink menus)
Help maintenance at the bar such as water levels, clearing, marking etc.
Perform clean-ups of spills or other customer accidents as needed
Assist with back of house liquor re-stocking
Keep beverage cooler clean and organized
Wash and polish glassware during service
Follow all opening and closing procedures during each shift
Ensure duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and standard operating procedures
Able to understand and comply with all safety regulations and rules
