About The Position

This role involves meeting with group coordinators and hosts prior to functions to ensure all arrangements are satisfactory. The Concierge will analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information, determine setup needs, timelines, and specific guest requirements, including buffets and action stations. The position requires responding to and fulfilling special banquet event arrangements and following up to ensure compliance. Additionally, the role adheres to all company safety and security policies, reports accidents and unsafe conditions, and completes safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and upholding confidentiality are essential. The Concierge will welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest needs, and express genuine appreciation. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is required, along with developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals. Adherence to quality expectations and standards is crucial. The role involves reading and visually verifying information in various formats, inspecting equipment for defects, and performing tasks that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. It also includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, navigating confined or elevated spaces, and moving over various surfaces and inclines. Reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping are also part of the physical requirements. The Concierge will perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Meet group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable.
  • Read and analyze banquet event order in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc.
  • Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.
  • Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
