About The Position

Assist the Banquet Manager in preparing for banquet guests and help ensure a positive guest experience. Set up and break down meeting rooms and ballrooms according to guest specifications, keep rooms supplied and presentable, and communicate with the supervisor throughout the shift. The role involves continuous physical activity, including moving heavy and awkward event equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge of equipment types and setup styles used in meeting rooms, including table configurations such as round and schoolroom.
Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 100 pounds through a crowded room, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform considerable physical activity continuously throughout the shift for room setup and breakdown, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 500 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

Communicate with the supervisor throughout the shift to stay informed about the work.
Set up meeting rooms to guest specifications, transporting staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, and other materials from storage to meeting rooms.
Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
Break down meeting rooms after meetings conclude and return materials to the storage closet so rooms can be reset.
Maintain the established cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms so they remain presentable.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
