Banquet Setup
About The Position
This role is responsible for setting up and maintaining banquet and function rooms according to O'Reilly Hospitality Management (OHM) and brand specifications. The position involves ensuring all necessary amenities, AV equipment, and break areas are prepared before meetings, addressing guest requests, and providing excellent guest service. The role also includes assisting with meal service, breakdown, and guest check-ins, while adhering to company policies, safety procedures, and energy conservation guidelines. Team members are expected to embrace company cultures such as O'Reach, Green Team, and Guest Service.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Pleasant, polite, and maintains a neat appearance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to resolve problems efficiently and deliver results.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing duties.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving walking or standing.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of hospitality or banquet experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete work assignments as directed by supervisor or shift leader.
- Ensure water, amenities, AV, and breaks are set up at least 15 minutes before meetings.
- Address guest requests for additional equipment and supplies, informing guests of any extra charges.
- Provide world-class guest service according to OHM and brand standards.
- Set up and clean meeting and function rooms per OHM and brand specifications.
- Refresh meeting rooms during breaks and assist with meal service and breakdown as needed.
- Assist in getting banquet guest checks signed and submitted to the front office.
- Follow energy conservation guidelines and safety procedures.
- Handle all equipment and supplies properly.
- Report to work on time, in uniform, as scheduled.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Embrace O’Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, and other company cultures.
- Perform other duties as required.
