About The Position
The Hilton Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated Banquet Set-up team member to join their dynamic team. This role is responsible for ensuring event spaces are properly set up, including tables and chairs, and maintaining cleanliness. The Hilton Milwaukee is a premier hotel in downtown Milwaukee, recently completing a $40 million renovation. It is connected to the Baird Center, offers 554 guest rooms, and over 34,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is committed to innovation, exceptional service, and timeless style, making it Milwaukee’s premier meeting and convention destination.
Requirements
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work.
- Must show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
- Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet spaces as per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract.
- Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
- Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets.
- Work reliably in a 24-hour operation, accommodating varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
- Aid in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
- Organize and restock linen room and supplies, attending mandatory department meetings and trainings.
- Uphold quality and service standards.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
