About The Position

Assist the Banquet Manager in preparing for banquet guests and ensuring a positive guest experience. Set up meeting rooms according to guest specifications, supply rooms with clean glasses and fresh water, and break down and return equipment to storage after functions. Maintain the cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms and communicate with the supervisor throughout the shift. The role involves continuous physical activity, including moving heavy and awkward equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge of various types of meeting-room equipment and setup styles, including table configurations.
Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs. through a crowded room, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform continuous physical activity throughout the shift for room setup and breakdown, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 500 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

Communicate with the supervisor throughout the shift to stay informed about the work.
Set up meeting rooms to guest specifications, moving staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, and other materials from storage.
Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
Break down meeting rooms after meetings and return items to storage so rooms can be reset for the next function.
Maintain the established cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
