About The Position

The Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel is seeking a dedicated and physically capable individual to join their Banquets team as an On-Call Banquet Set Up associate. This role is crucial in ensuring that meeting rooms are prepared to exact client specifications, contributing to the overall success of events hosted at the hotel. The position involves significant physical activity, including the transportation of heavy and awkward materials, and requires a commitment to maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of event spaces.

Requirements

• Considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.
• Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest.
• Transport staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return items to storage.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
