About The Position

The Banquet Set-Up Attendant prepares, arranges, and resets banquet and meeting spaces for events, providing service while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction. The role ensures event spaces are configured according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and supports seamless events. As an on-call team member, schedules vary according to business demands, event schedules, and operational needs.

The position works in banquet facilities, ballrooms, meeting spaces, outdoor event venues, and resort public areas. Team members may encounter varying temperatures, high activity levels, and frequent interactions with guests, vendors, and resort staff. The role may require working indoors or outdoors as business demands require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
• Ability to safely move banquet tables, chairs, staging, and other event equipment.
• Understanding of banquet room configurations and event setup requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Strong time-management skills.

• Previous banquet, hospitality, food and beverage, or event setup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet rooms, meeting spaces, and event venues according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, podiums, linens, skirting, and other event equipment.
• Ensure rooms are set accurately and completed within required timelines.
• Inspect event spaces before, during, and after events to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Assist with room resets and venue conversions between events.
• Transport and properly store banquet equipment and supplies.
• Maintain inventory of banquet equipment and report damaged or missing items.
• Support banquet service staff during events as needed.
• Follow safety procedures when lifting, moving, and storing equipment.
• Communicate with Banquet Managers, Event Managers, and other departments regarding event requirements.
• Respond to last-minute event changes and adjustments.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to guests and fellow team members.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
