The role requires working well in a team setting to achieve goals in a timely manner, as well as being able to stand on their feet for several hours and carry heavy objects with care (50+lbs). Attendants must follow strict safety guidelines to prevent accidents, communicate with guests to resolve their inquiries and direct them as necessary, and follow directions and execute banquet orders as requested by managers or supervisors. They may also move banquet items to be washed, help to stock food items and order new supplies as necessary, and help maintain and clean specialized banquet equipment before shifts conclude. Strong communication skills are important in order to report any issues to a banquet supervisor. The role also requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
