About The Position

We are seeking a Banquet Server to join our team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lawrence. In this role, you will be responsible for running food from the kitchen to the banquet hall, assisting with food and table preparation, setting up buffets according to presentation standards and safe food handling practices, serving plated dinners, and responding to guest requests. You will also communicate with the banquet supervisor, other servers, and event organizers, serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and handle post-event cleanup, including inventory and food storage.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Previous waitstaff experience a plus
• Knowledge of catering practices preferred

Responsibilities

• Run food from the kitchen to the banquet hall on demand
• Assist with food and table prep before the event begins
• Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling
• Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs
• Communicate with banquet supervisor as well as other servers and event organizers
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Open wine and take drink orders
• Clean up venue after event ends
• Assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks
