About The Position

The Banquet Server is responsible for supporting Banquet Captains and team members to ensure all events and functions are set up properly and run smoothly from start to finish. This role involves confirming table settings, serving food and beverages, clearing tables, and maintaining the safety and orderliness of service areas. The position requires a positive attitude, exceptional service skills, and adherence to casino policies and procedures. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members must be flexible with their schedules to meet business needs, including working weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months’ previous experience preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to portray a positive attitude under all circumstances.
  • Understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel and live the mission of providing exceptional service at all times.
  • Adhere to and act in accordance with all casino policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state and local regulations.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Competency to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation, carefully monitoring processes and routine work details.
  • Ability to clearly present information verbally and in writing; read and interpret complex information; actively listen and talk with guests and team members.
  • Demonstrate a high level of service delivery to ensure guest and team member satisfaction; handle service failures and prioritize guest and team member needs.

  • Pass a background check and drug-screening test.
  • Obtain a local Food Handler permit and an Oklahoma ABLE license following hire.

Responsibilities

  • Support Banquet Captains and team members in setting up and running events smoothly.
  • Confirm table settings, linens, china, glass, and silver/flatware are correctly set according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
  • Serve food and beverage items to guests.
  • Clear tables and return equipment to designated storage areas.
  • Retrieve reusable food and beverage items and place them on a separate transport.
  • Ensure service corridor safety by transporting equipment properly.
  • Handle all equipment and linens responsibly.
  • Attend to and report spills and breakage immediately.
  • Return all equipment and supplies to their proper locations in a clean and orderly fashion at event conclusion.
  • Ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting supervisor, including cross-training.
  • Comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Work varying schedules to meet business needs, including weekends and holidays.
