About The Position

The On Call Banquet Server is responsible for set-up, serving and tear down of banquet events. This role is an opportunity to work in a beautiful resort destination on Captiva Island, Florida, offering a unique setting for hospitality professionals. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience as a Server in a hotel/restaurant environment is a plus.
Ability to communicate to guests in English, bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift to forty pounds.
Work in both an indoor/outdoor environment, with the potential for hot temperatures.
Ability to work at a computer in an office setting and respond to client inquiries promptly.
Must be able to oversee stress related conversations with clients, vendors, and other departments.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Server in a hotel/restaurant environment is a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide a guest experience that exemplifies South Seas standards of excellence.
Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
Be on time for events and be prepared to work until the end of the event.
Comply with the Company’s grooming standards, ensuring your uniform is clean and pressed, and your name tag is in place.
Be up to date on all required certifications including Alcohol Awareness and Serve Safe.
Complete prep assignments prior to the event as directed by the Director of Catering or Banquet Captain.
Maintain composure throughout the event, and work through stressful situations.
Must be familiar with the organization of the hotel, and where to direct guests.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Banquet Captain.
