About The Position

A Banquet Server provides professional and efficient food and beverage service during events, helping ensure guests feel welcomed and attended to in accordance with event specifications and service standards. The role includes setting up banquet spaces and food and beverage stations, delivering meal service, anticipating guest needs, and coordinating with kitchen and event staff. Servers maintain cleanliness and organization throughout events, reset spaces for subsequent events, and clean and store equipment appropriately. The position pays $20.00–$23.00 per hour and is tip eligible. The position will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.
Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Punctuality and consistent attendance.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects frequently.
Ability to carry at least six entrees per tray.

Nice To Haves

Two to six months of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants is preferred.
A high school diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Read and understand banquet event orders.
Provide fine-dining-level food and beverage service for events in accordance with service standards.
Initiate and maintain friendly, professional contact with guests, anticipating and meeting their needs.
Set up and maintain food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building according to service standards.
Maintain inventory for food and beverage stations.
Keep event areas and front-of-house staging areas tidy and organized.
Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
Work independently during slower periods.
Help create a safe and clean work environment.
Ensure work is accurate and complete.
Maintain a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude.
Respond to simple customer complaints or inquiries.
