About The Position
Augusta Country Club is a privately owned club with golf, tennis, fitness, and swim facilities in Augusta, GA. We are currently seeking servers that can create a positive, memorable experience for members and their guests. The ideal candidates will be customer service oriented, attentive, polite, courteous and able to interact with members in a professional manner. Dependability is a must. This position is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to all guests for any event held within the club facilities. Banquet servers set up for events, carry trays, serve guests, and clean up at the event's conclusion. Set up can include putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and putting up a buffet. Duties during the event can vary based on the situation, but, in general, they must be able to focus on the job while staying on their feet and moving about freely, which can include bending, climbing stairs, and carrying items weighing 25-50 pounds.
Requirements
- Strong communication and listening skills to effectively communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and membership/guests.
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
- Dependability is a must.

Responsibilities
- Set up for events, including putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and putting up a buffet.
- Carry trays and serve guests.
- Clean up at the event's conclusion.
- Clean all banquet equipment at the end of the function or as directed.
- Assist in moving tables and chairs as requested.
- Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Attend line-up as directed by supervisor.
- Check out with manager.
- Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating them.
- Pour and refill wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal.
- Clear soiled dishes as needed.
- Complete other appropriate assignments made by the Banquet Captain.
