About The Position

The University of Arizona is seeking part-time Banquet Servers to join the Catering team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service to guests during events and special occasions. Your responsibilities will include setting up and breaking down banquet spaces, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a seamless guest experience. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The University of Arizona is recognized for its innovative work-life programs.

Requirements

High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests.
Knowledge of food safety protocols.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with set up and breakdown of banquet rooms and event spaces as instructed.
Serve food and beverages as listed on the Banquet Event Order.
Make recommendations and answer questions for guests and clients.
Greet and serve every guest in a friendly and courteous manner.
Ensure an excellent guest experience.
Ensure all food product is presented according to client expectations.
Apply food safety standards to prevent cross contamination or spoilage.
Provide suggestions and recommendations to captain and catering team as needed.
Assist with clean up and sanitation of all supplies and utensils.
Once sanitized, return all utensils and supplies are stored properly and kept in good working order.
Notify supervisor or any damaged supplies.
Actively work to resolve guest concerns when applicable and escalate to supervisor when necessary.
