About The Position

The Banquet Server is responsible for setting tables, serving, and clearing meals to Club members and guests according to well established rules or etiquette and service guidelines. The Banquet Server will also perform various incidental duties to ensure consistent and efficient service. Servers will be required to do light cleaning.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of both ala carte and buffet service, style, pricing, menu selections, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of cocktail service i.e., types of drinks, wine, ingredients, garnishes, prices, proper service, etc.
  • Ability to be courteous, obliging, and attentive.
  • Ability to greet members and guests with eye contact and a SMILE.
  • Ability to inspect all dishes, glass, linens, and sliver for cleanliness before serving.
  • Ability to serve ladies first if gentlemen are seated at the same table
  • Ability to serve food from the left with your left hand and clear from the right with your right hand.
  • Ability to place and remove beverages from the right with your right hand.
  • Ability to refill beverages while glass is still on the table.
  • Ability to not place fingers or thumbs inside of dish or glass.
  • Ability to clean table well before serving dessert.
  • Ability to not clear until being asked to by the room manager

Responsibilities

  • Must have thorough knowledge of both ala carte and buffet service, style, pricing, menu selections, etc.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of cocktail service i.e., types of drinks, wine, ingredients, garnishes, prices, proper service, etc.
  • Responsible for sale tickets, ensures that members sign ticket before leaving. Collecting cash during Cash Bars & totaling tallies during Host Bars.
  • Ensures compliance with various state statutes and Club policy on alcohol service.
  • Responsible for various side duties, such as refilling condiments, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, etc.
  • Assists with daily and end-of-month inventories.
  • Prepared to assist managers and co-workers in banquets and in other areas of the Club.
