About The Position

To effectively provide food and beverage service at banquet events, provide great guest service to all guests, and provide overall logistics for banquet events by way of set-up, clear communication and teamwork, while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence.

Requirements

  • Must be familiar with sanitation standards for restaurants.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar full service and cashiering restaurant.
  • Ability to balance and reconcile cashier banks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to guests and employees of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • While employed, you must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
  • Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Set up for events including tables, linens, chairs, place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet
  • Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests
  • Keep glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensils
  • Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
  • Uphold the highest level of guest service
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards guests and staff
  • Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism
  • Reports directly to Banquet Supervisor
  • Provide excellent food and beverage service for banquet events
  • Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Maintain sense of urgency when on the service floor
  • Maintain back of the house, front of the house and side work duties for overall productivity of banquet events
  • Maintain positive and professional attitude
  • Maintain clear and open communication between all staff members for overall event success
  • Follow Health and Safety practices at all times
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.
  • Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Team Members, by setting positive examples at all times.
  • Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
  • To provide a safe work environment for Team Members, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
