About The Position

As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during events and ensuring the smooth flow of food and beverages throughout the event. You will be partnering with event planners, chefs, and other critical staff members to deliver a memorable dining experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35-45 lbs.
  • Standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for up to 90% of your shift
  • Frequently lifting product – such as food trays, glass racks, silverware containers etc.
  • Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily
  • Working in various temperature-controlled environments
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
  • Organizational skills: Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Working in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player
  • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives
  • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience as a high-volume server or relevant experience
  • ServeSafe Certification or TIPS Certification

Responsibilities

  • Set up tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment according to the event specifications
  • Arrange place settings and ensure all necessary utensils and glassware are available
  • Prepare condiments, garnishes, and other items as needed
  • Greet guests warmly as they arrive; escorting them to their seats if needed
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
  • Serve meals promptly and courteously, ensuring accuracy in delivering the correct dishes to the right guests
  • Attend to special dietary requests or allergies and ensure they are communicated to the kitchen staff
  • Monitor beverage levels and replenish as needed
  • Clear tables and clean up after guests, removing dishes and glassware promptly
  • Provide attentive and friendly service to guests, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and proactively offer assistance
  • Handle guest needs or issues professionally and seek assistance from supervisors as needed
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times; even during busy or challenging situations
  • Collaborate with other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination of service
  • Assist with clean up and breakdown of event spaces after the event concludes
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by leadership
